"But then there’s Jack Taylor, who does double duty as Mina and Dr. Jean Van Helsing. Both of these characters are versions of the Dame of traditional British pantomime, and Taylor proves a grand Dame indeed. His performance draws more laughs than any other member of the cast. This is partly because the two characters he plays have such rich comic potential, but you still need a strong performer to make that potential come alive. Taylor is such a performer: in delivery of his characters’ lines, the way he uses his face, and his quirky body language, it’s a winning presentation."
